Acidente atrasa tráfego em Mogi e Bertioga

On Sunday, an accident on the Mogi‑Bertioga highway caused traffic to move slowly in the direction toward Mogi, while drivers heading to Bertioga encountered a special police operation and reduced visibility due to fog. The incident occurred on the segment that links the two municipalities, a route frequently used by commuters and tourists traveling the Litoral Norte Paulista. Foggy conditions are common in the coastal area during early mornings, and police operations are routinely deployed to manage traffic flow in critical points. As a result, vehicles traveling toward Mogi experienced significant delays, with queues extending for several kilometers. In the opposite direction, the special operation, combined with the fog, forced drivers to reduce speed and follow the instructions of traffic agents, extending travel time to Bertioga. No reports of injuries or major damages were released by the authorities. The situation remained under monitoring by the traffic police throughout the day, and motorists were advised to seek alternative routes or postpone trips until conditions improve.
